Well, I'm going to make some tests to see if it is really reliable. For example, how you like power off issue? ;) What about killing of client application - will it close the instance of COM object on the server? These and many other questions I'm going to try before starting to make one serious project using DCOM. So you;re not alone that investigate this question ;)
