>Who said I wanted to make drugs legal? I am asking why, if alcohol is also part of the homeless problem, as you posted earlier, shouldn't we outlaw it.
You know that isn't going to happen, so you are trying to bait me. It's not going to happen. We shouldn't allow more bad stuff in, just because we've already got alcohol problems.
Alcohol isn't the problem, it's the overindulgence that causes the carnage. Having a glass of wine won't cause you life long problems, providing you can drink in moderation. Smoking a rock of crack, I am told by the hundreds I arrested, grabs you by the neck the first time. They tell me they get a high that can never be reached again, yet they constantly try. I'd hate to be in their shoes. It's pretty amazing the things we do to ourselves. I have come to the point that I believe we are all the author of our own destruction. The problem is that our destruction doesn't just affect us.
