>It depends. If you use a Generic/Text Only printer driver, you can use MODIFY FILE (VFP) or something like NotePad/WordPad. If you use a PDF printer driver, you can use Adobe's PDF Viewer. Most other printer drivers add Escape codes to the output that are totally unrecognizable to humans. Without sending them to the printer to be translated to the various formats, you don't know what you are looking at.
