Here is our problem:

We run a large VFP5 application (6.8mg) on a Novel Network. Some of our users run it on CITRIX and most of our users run it from their workstations using the Novel Client. We have been running the app from CITRIX for approx 6 months successfully. Two weeks ago we replaced the Novel Server where the app and the VFP5 data resides and gave the new server a different UNC. The new server is configured exactly the same as the old one and the disc space and memory is doubled. The last executable build was 1/15 and the problems did not start occurring until 1/22, the day after the new server went in (in went in on a Sunday).

Since we put the new server in place, our CITRIX users have been experiencing several problems running the VFP5 exe. The problems they are experiencing are, the CITRIX session screen turns black and they have to disconnect from the CITRIX session. The other problem is they get a message "internal consistency error". When they click on "ok", the user gets tossed out of CITRIX.

The problems do not occur in any one place in the app, but it does seem to be somewhat narrowed down to about 6 or 7 actions that can cause it. For example, clicking on the find button that opens a selection criteria form has brought the black screen of death for different users at different times. Our users that are running the application outside of CITRIX are not experiencing any problems.

A new error has been showing up in our error log as well. Error 2005. An example of one of the error messages this error returns is: "Error loading file - record number 3. FrmOrderCriteria .Methods : p:\ofs\forms\oscorder.scx is not an object file"… this particular scx is compiled into the executable. VFP help says "You have attempted to set a property to an illegal value through the language." It has been determined that this error is not causing the black screen… but it may be a clue to what is wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas?
