Yuri, Thanks for the reply, I do not think I made myself clear enough, so I will try again.

I would like the value to display an X instead of the number that is in the controlsource, and to display nothing if the value is <=1

the idea behind this, is as follows

value  forecolour backcolor Display
0      White      White     Nothing
1      Green      Green     Nothing
2      Red        Green     X
3      Red        White     X

I hope I made things a bit clearer.
