MySQL is in rapid development and what it can and cannot do probably fluxuates daily. When I looked at it many ANSI 92 functions were present only as nonfunctional stubs, for the sake of 'compatibility' with the standard.
There is no TRANSACTION tracking, although they say it will be added later.
It's lite and fast, but limited.
