I remember the day Superman first appeared on TV, as well as Batman. Both TV series used lots of bullets. Kryptonite was not in common use on the Superman TV series. So I guess you can say the TV and Movie versions of Superman had very different themes in that regard. Also, Batman on TV was so tongue in cheek and used so many celebrities who appeared as villains.

Seems like the original Superman and Batman comic books of the 1950’s were more like the movies.

Something I like about Superman is how he could "save the day". That theme seems to be in both the TV and movie versions of Superman. The TV version of Batman was full of humor and the movies were much more serious and "darker".
