I have field1 in table1 and field2 in table2. When I look in the Table Designer at the fields' definition, both field1 and field2 are Type Numeric, Width 12, Decimal 2. But when I browse the table, highlight field1 and field2 and start typing numbers field1 stores '123456789.01' and field2 stores '1234567890.1'. So the width of 12 includes the decimal? But why does field1 have 9 significant digits and 2 decimal and field2 have 10 significant and 1 decimal?
