Why not read the media to see how much disk space is available. The Scripting.FileSystemObject's drive object can provide that information, and unless you get involved in detail with the hardware registry, the identification of the drive's capacity (as opposed to the media presently in it) is going to be difficult at best. Read the media capacity.
