>>This is one of those things, however, where you go, "Is this really necessary or needed". Six or seven years ago, we had nothing like a Home Depot. We had to go to Kennesaw or Marietta. Then West Building Supplies moved in. About a year later, Here comes Lowe's as one of the anchor stores (the other being a Super Wal-Mart) in a strip mall about a mile from my house. That meant the end of West in Cartersville (but I think they had other problems). So we've got a "home improvement warehouse". Do we really need another? For myself (and I know that there's a UTer working for Home Depot, BTW, to him, sorry about the following< s >), I've shopped both, and I prefer Lowe's. The fact that the Home Depot is going to be about 2 minutes closer, won't enter into the equation. About the only time I can see myself shopping there is in an emergency situation. And those are few and far between.

>My bro-in-law worked for Lowes and really liked it. He doesn't really like Home Depot. His standard reference was "Home Dumpo." :-) ( Don't anyone jump on me, I got nothing against HD. :-) ). But I have a HD 2 minutes from home, nearest Lowes is over 30, so I go the HD route.

For purposes of comparison, I've found (in general) Lowe's to be cleaner, easier to find things and the people more helpful.

Hey, I just noticed your sig line. When did you pass the MCP exams? And your name's not in the exam document. Where did you take the tests, BTW? Technet in Marietta?
