>Hello all.

>We're seeing a problem with Windows ME and a VFP 6 program compiled as an EXE. We're getting a fatal exception C0000005 when using the GETFILE function. Customers have reported this and we can reproduce it here. The odd thing is, the Open file dialog will appear, and you can navigate around for a while (change directories) Then the C0000005 error will occur as you are moving around, but before you select a file. You can take your hand off the mouse and just let the Open file dialog sit there, and suddenly, error C0000005.

What SP of Visual Studio is in use? There were lots of things that caused C5 errors in the original release of VFP6, mostly corrected in SP3 or SP4; if you're not running at least SP3, I'd apply the SP and regenerate the runtimes to match tghe version used for compilation. SP4 can run SP3 compiled executables; it's basically recommended that you recompile anything prior to SP3 under SP3 or later.
