It's FREE, has a small memory footprint and is very fast.
Also, the development team is adding 'features' all the time. I don't doubt that within a couple of years it will have CLASSIC primary and secondary keys, Transaction tracking (although they intially said this would never happen, public pressure forced them to change their minds!), and some of the current compatibility stubs will become functional.

In opinion, however, it will never reach the power and sophistication of PostgreSQL.
