Robert,
One important thing to remember, many projects I have worked on really don't care if they can scale to 10K users. I have not worked on a single project that has been required to service more than a couple hundred, in fact, I know very few that have. Just how many projects does MS envision serving thousands of simultaneous users, a small universe indeed. I am not saying that .NET is not the solution for these markets, but I am saying that does not influence my buying decision.
Most of us make software for small to medium size companies, How many custom programmers could the world support if this were not true. VFP has it's place in the world, .Net probally does too. Market them appropiatly!

>They scale fine on the desktop, but they don't scale beyond. How many desktops apps had to be rearchitected when the rest of the company wanted to us them? How many client/server apps had to be rearchitected when the ability to get to data over the Web was desired? How many Web apps had to be rearchitected when the number of people using them went from 10 to 10,000?
