Hi,
We have a central SQL server and some remote SQL servers. They are connected over an ISDN line.
We're running SQL server 7.0 SP 1.
The central server is running on an NT cluster configuration.
Data from the central server is pushed to the remote servers using a snapshot push replication with several tables subscribed to the replication.
This happens once a night.
There are more than 1 push snapshot replications running during the night.
All scheduled one after another.
What now sometimes happens is that the snapshot is correctly applied to the subscriber.
So far so good you'd think. But NO data was transferred.
When I have a look at the history of the snapshot agent, I can see that the agent applied the scripts, but I don't see that the agent was bulk copying and bulk copied data into the remote server.
The snapshot is configured to first truncate all data on the subscriber and then push all data again from the central server to the subscribed server.
At first I would like have to some errors raised when this happens (no data send over).
So if anyone knows how to configure this??
And at best I'd really like to have the problem solved.
So if there are any settings on SQL server to manipulate, improve or stabilize this behaviour??
ThanX in advance.
