On my form, I have a control whose valid normally fires when exiting. However, I would like the valid to abort (or not execute) if the user hits the EXIT control of my form (in effect, making validity checking moot...and annoying if the user is basically just trying to abort the entire process by exiting.)

I tracked the events in the debugger and I find that myform.mycontrol.valid()executes before myform.exitcontrol.when(), so I cannot use the latter to provide some kind of feedback that alters the behavior of the former.

Surely others have encountered the need to abort (or otherwise modify the action of) a validity check if the user has clicked on some other control. How is this done?
