was quite a while ago.

>Well, we need'nt go into
how long ago we did things...let's just say we have a "mature" perspective on the sport (meaning age, not how we act when we watch the games! < VBG >)
I think you hit the proverbial nail on the proverbial head (naturally with a proverbial hammer).:-)
>>Actually, I was a jock back then (mid-60s) and probably a better baseball pitcher than a round ball player. There was some interest from the White Sox.

>Pretty cool! My Dad liked the Sox when we lived there. I was more bent on becoming the first woman defenseman for the Chicago Blackhawks--I loved playing hockey, and then we moved to North Carolina, which dried up THAT career choice pretty quickly! (Never mind the fact that I'd have NEVER made it...those guys are HUGE!)
You're from Chicago!?!?!I knew there was something about you I liked.< s >If your Dad was a Sox fan, you
must have lived on the South Side. That's where I grew up! In fact, during the winter months, when I wear sweat shirts to work most days, it's usually Bears or Blackhawks (when I'm not wearing one of the Earnhardt ones). I play some "sandlot" hockey growing up. Of course, it was on ice, 'cause it's tough to skate on a sandlot.:-)
>>I watch the games on ESPN. I hope that the "Cameron Crazies" meet up with the "
Orange Crush" sometime next month.< bg >

>It could happen! I was at the game in Greensboro...it ended with a score of 78-77,
Duke, if I remember correctly < s >. It was a good game; I'd love to see a rematch!
Don't need to rub it in, Della!< g >
