I the near future I shall send out a new version of my program to hundreds of customers. The structure of the tabels and database has changed. The program will be installed in the same folder as the old version.
I use to make a Backup/Restore procedure which by some customers has given a lot of problems, so now it must be fully automatic.
Which method, in fundamentally terms, would be an optimum way to do it?
