>We're wondering about upgrading to 100mbit ethernet around the office, I don't care one way or the other unless ODBC will be noticeably faster with the new network cards and connections, has anyone that has made the switch noticed a real 10x increase or is ODBC still a dog no matter how much bandwith you give it?

We are looking more at using SQL Server were processing is done on the server, more memory for client PC (we saw a dramatic increas on NTW going from 32 to 64 Megs). No you most likely will not get a 10x increase. BUt remember the bigger the pipe the haapier the campers! One other thing to look at is using a single network protocol like TCP/IP. Less protocols, less overhead.

But also remember hardware is cheaper then software development.
