>I want one VFP instance react instantly when another VFP raises a flag (couple of). The key word is instantly. Using DBF take some time (0.3 - 0.5 sec) and because there coud be several flags going on and off per second DBF is too slow. I'v tried it also with SAVE TO and RESTORE FROM and it much faster but needs error procedure to handle situation when one application is writing on the same time when another is reading and slows it little bit.

Another possibility might be to use DDE. I know, it's an "old way of doing things", but just because it's old doesn't mean it's useless.
