Just thought of one reason Microsoft should keep VFP "in the box". That way they only have to have one service pack for the whole package. That could save money.
Then again, if VFP is out of the box, Microsoft might not remember to produce a service pack for it. Just think - if Microsoft got it right the first time, no service packs would be required. After Visual Studio 6 was released it seems it took about 18 months before many of the "Problems" were resolved with service pack 3, like "C5 - end of world as known to man has occured". I still have my update coupon from Visual Studio 6 for Visual J++. Think I will dispose of it.
