One of our applications has no facility to be Read-Only, so someone has come up with the idea of only making the users on NT READONLY and wants our Fox4Dos app to trap the error that it returns when trying to update the table, and turn it into a nice message.

Has anyone ever tried this before and if so, then how did it go?, and if not, can anyone see a problem with this?
