One solution is to write a small App that copies your dataset from 1 server to another (or 1 disk to another). If you use !run commands from within VFP, i.e. a dos shell, it can copy files/tables that are currently open without generating an error. I have a Scheduler that I've written that performs this process every hour (my dataset is only 400Mb), but you can tailor it to suit.
