Visual Source Safe and VCX,SCX files
I am confused about even after reading the archives. It appers that binary files (like vcx, vct,scx,sct,etc) cannot be checked out by multiple users at the same time. But there is also a program (scctext.prg) that supposedly converts libs/screens/etc to text files and back. This would suggest that a merge procedure could be performed on this type of files as well. But if only ont user can check out a file at a time, what's the need for scctext.prg?
So, the bottom line, is there any way multiple users can work on the same library with VSS or not? If not, is there any product out there that can do that?
In my case it's not possible to break the libs in smaller pieces and we NEED to be able to work on the same library at the same time.
