Well, of thing for sure, you do have a lot of feedback to give. IAC, be sure I read all of them and try to extract every good point of them.

With changes in the infrastructure like that, some stuff can be offered as the old way. For some small changes, it might be doable. But, not for one like that. I am not here to say if it was good or bad the way it was before. What I know is that it was one of several factors which was stopping UT to evolve. No matter how good or bad a previous method was, as long as we got used to it, it's difficult to move to something else. Keep also in mind that I spent several weeks to think about all that before doing it.

The interface was overloaded. Thus, all new users were almost going away immediately. It has to be simplify and the content to be reorganized. I agree that most of us are advanced developers thus can get use to find our way. But, it's not the case for all users especially new ones. One of the frequent feedback we received was "Why do I have to login to access the Downloads area or any other static content while all other sites do offer it without login?! Usually, we only log in for the threading environment. Also, since all the static content was framed, it was making it difficult to access, to browse, etc. We also had to come in with a standard format in all of them. I've been working with this new inferface since a month and I can assure you that it was something that should have been there since the beginning as it is now so easier to find what we want, bookmark, navigate between related content to another forum, reading enhancement, etc.
