Hi All,

I have an unusual problem ( apart from using FoxPro <s> ). I'm currently working on a project that requires text to be taken from comma delimited files and also extracted from the body of an email. I've written the routines to do this in VFP6.0 and the data is stored in an Access 2000 Database ( shock, horror !!! ), the data can be a mixture of Japanese & English. I'm running Windows 2000 with all the appropriate proofing tools loaded. The data from the comma delimited files works perfectly, but the email is another story. I'm using automation ( outlook 2000 object model ) to extract the body of the email, and strip out the appropriate data. I can view the email in outlook and the Japanese characters appear perfectly, but when the data is imported into the Access Database the Japanese characters appear as question marks. I've wasted about 2 days on this so far. I don't believe that there's a problem with FoxPro handling Japanese characters and when I try the outlook automation code from within Access I get the same result. I'm thinking that the problem may be a setting in outlook, but I really have no idea. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Gavin...
