COM/DCOM and OLE Automation
Thanks for your help. I spent all day yesterday reading old threads and came to the same conclusion. It was just discouraging because Cetin's class was so close to doing exactly what I wanted, but then I read a post from Cetin that said his mailmerge download was out of date. Definately do not want to start with somthing that is already finished. There ought to be a way to keep the Files Section current.
Anyway, I bought the MS Office Automation with VFP book from Hentzenwerke and downloaded their source code. I am working with it but quite there yet. My client's can have existing mailmerge documents with attached data sources or want to to create blank new documents and i will attach the datasource. So working through their model but not understanding how it will fit into my needs. I do like that they do not use ODBC because I had the 2.1 mdac which was causing me grief. But not sure how using a new datasource for existing docuemnts will work.
Thanks Again
Brenda
