Good advice. When VFP was in Beta, I used ThisForm.Refresh freely and put a wait window with each call. As I saw how many times the entire form was being called for a refresh, I began using methods with more "economy" such as you described. Witha fast PC, you can afford to use thisform.refresh more often but it is not a good idea.
