I had a similar problem - used SlowStart.exe to launch FoxProW.exe on my NT 350Mhz Pentium II machine, but it wouldn't work on my W2K AMD Athlon 1GHz machine.

Download and apply Patch_26.exe (I think that's what it's called) from the Microsoft website (don't know the exact page, but I'm sure someone will jump in). That did the trick for me.
