Postscript is easy; install a PostScript printer, create reports to a file using the PostScript driver, and use GhostScript/GhostView for printing/viewing the PostScript output. PDFs are handled similarly; print using the PDF Writer/Distiller, and circulate with Adobe Acrobat. The two approaches spend money inversely - you pay for the PCF driver and the Acrobat Reader is free; PostScript drivers are easy, but GhostScript/GhostView cost a nominal license fee for commercial use, and are more involved to install than Acrobat.
