These settings are restored when I open VFP again. I suspect that there's something wrong with your resource file. The fpt can grow pretty large. Could you try to rename foxuser.* and force VFP to create a new one. This might solve your problem. On the same subject, what happens with other settings that are stored in the resource file such as window position/size, BROWSE LAST, etc. Are these settings restored correctly?

>>These settings work for me. Make sure you have SET RESOURCE=ON and that foxuser.dbf (or whatever SYS(2005) returns) is not read-only. I believe these settings are stored in foxuser.dbf.

>>>On the VFP edit properties dialog there are several options like tab width, show column/line position and a check box to save these preferences that doesn't work.

>>>Or am I missing something obvious?
>>>TIA,
