OK, I see what's going on now. It does save the settings, but not as a global setting for any editing window. For example, I was working on these project with several vcx classes and I kept saving the settings for different classes but when I opened the next one the settings were the default.

So it does work but not as desired. You would think that if you set editor preferences like tab width those would be available for any editing session but that is not the case. New methods / classes do get the saved settings though.

Oh well, this time I'm on the user side of things.
