There's a great tool called BeyondCompare which allows you to compare directories and files. There's an addon that allows you to compare tables in text format. Whenever I have to compare two tables, I COPY TO CSV and then call BeyondCompare. The tool allows you to define the key field and displays the differences side by side. Brilliant tool, use it almost every day.
