You'll need to check with Samsung for that particular hardware; there are several common modem settings to adjust the output to the modem speaker - try ATL0 to disable or significantly lower the volume; it's not universal, but fairly common.

You'd be better off adjusting the sound setting through the WIndows Modem Control Panel applet, that way, you don't have to change code if the modem type is changed.
