Hi everybody,
We develop a system for our own in-house use. The application and databases reside on the server. We use c:\WIS\Temp as temp path for the application specific temporary files, VFP tempfiles are set by the end user (usually, it's c:\windows\temp).
Now, these are my questions:
1)Can we change VFP temp path in application? E.g. set it to our own temp path?
2) Suppose, user has 2 or more local disks (for instance, I have local disks c and d, c is under 1GB and d is 20GB). He/she may not have enough space on the c drive, but much more on another drive.
How can we set temp path to be user dependand?
Do you care about such things in your applications and how do you handle them?
Thanks a lot in advance.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
