I don't use it because it has a fair amount of overhead - ie. it's slow. I always use RELATION for my COM objects as they are the most light weight. Session loads all sorts of settings and sets up private datasessions, and the entire environment, which is expensive and not necessary as long as you handle the basic required multi-user settings (SET EXCLUSIVE, REPROCESS etc.) yourself in your objects.
