We all know that VFP and other conferences are mostly held in prime southern locations. When it's -30 outside a conference would be a godsend! And yet it would be nice to have a conference somewhere else but it's not likely to happen.

So if you are planning on having a summer vacation this year (and now's the time to plan) you might want to consider the Canadian Rockies as a great destination. Sure, you can look at the brochures and travel pictures but if you want a real look at the hiking the back country visit my starting web page which will take you through most of my hikes from last summer.It will give you an excellent perspective.

The first pictures start on June 10th but we did four trails before that, but that's when I got my new digital camera. I think it was worth it. And a number of my scenery shots make excellent wallpaper too! (The full size versions generally 500- 600k are available.)

My sister and a nephew visited and we spent an intense week of touring, as well as my brother-in-law and wife who were not quite as vigorous.

So though this is almost entirely un-foxpro related, it is only because you are denied the conference opportunity.

Oh, and with the Canadian dollar so cheap you can't believe the deals! If you check out the pictures of the Jasper Chalet we stayed at, it was $369 a night (US$200) has 4 bedrooms, full kitchen, sleeps 10 and was the most expensive unit in the place (7 of us went). It was sure worth it!
