When you attempt it, what error is returned by AERROR()? You can use this function to return any ODBC generated error.

>Larry,
>It is a System DSN, I can open it from the VFP command window. The Access, Foxpro, Oracle and SQL Server DSN all have the same tables and table structures. In the ASP page, I change the DSN only. It works for all except the SQL Server DSN.

>>>Hi All,
>>>I have developed a COM object in VFP 6 which takes three arguments from an
>>>ASP page and can display a table's record in a Table on a web page. Clicking
>>>on any record's primary key brings up a new page where that record may be
>>>edited and then saved.
>>>
>>>This COM object works perfectly with Access, Oracle or FoxPro backend
>>>databases (DSN). With SQL Server 6.5 or 7, it will not open the DSN. I use
>>>SQLCONNECT to open the connection.
>>>Using this COM object in VFP with SQL Server backend has no problem, but in
>>>an ASP web page, it will just not open the DSN.
>>>
>>>Anybody know whats happening?
>>>
>>>TIA
