>>How many other NASCAR fans are saddened by the death of Dale Earnhardt? What a tragic ending to a great race.

You have to go! You can't let this tragedy end your love of the sport and Dale would be the first to agree. In our house, we have (had) the Gordon / Earnhardt rivalry going. My boys love Gordon and my husband loves Earnhardt. So watching the races was always a great cheering match and tug of war, which all made it fun.

I find it so ironic that The Intimidator, who was so well known for swapping paint and doing whatever it took to win, died in part because of a selfless act of holding back the field so Waltrip (his employee) and Dale Jr (his son) could battle for the win. It's a shame that Waltrip's first win is tainted by this tragedy.
