Setting the control read only and back again isn't my problem. The problem is, what to use for the "if" test to decide what setting "enabled" should be set to. The form's lAddmode() property sounds like the perfect form property to determine if I should enable or disable the field, however, the addmode() property is not updated to its correct state until after the form refreshes. So I still don't have a mechanism (property) that can be used during the form refresh to show the field in it's correct enable state based on "are we editing" or "adding".
Is there a tecnnique or best place to determine what the addmode property is going to be before the refresh, so I can have the field set during the form refresh?
