Thanks for the tip, John. I didn't know about this product, but it certainly does appear to be something an ex-VFPer would want to investigate, especially if they want to distance themselves from their bitter experience with MS.

>"help" & "MS" !? Those two concepts might co-habit some other planet, but not this rock! I will bet that Billy has the need to strut his fancy feathers with SQL Server in the face of his good old buddy Larry Ellison and they don't really give a hoot what happens to the rinkydink little VFP that we all seem to fancy so much. And I am sure they don't really want the HUGE segment of small-midsized businesses out there benefiting from any VFP-type product - they want them all towing the line and contributing extortionery amounts of money to their coffers with SQL Server.

>Just for fun, have a look at http://www.plugsys.com - they are busy with Xbase for the Web which is 32 bit, has all the ODBC & SQL you could need and it is simple to use. A HUGE bonus is that we all already know the language and this is their bread and butter - they won't try and get rid of it as though it were something gross they just stood in. And as a bonus they have the same thing for Linux, so if you would like to add 'Proud to be MS free!' to your vocabulary, you don't even have to consider Bill and his Windoze anymore.

>DISCLAIMER: Ouch! That hurts - stop throwing rocks at me! I love VFP! and also just don't want to see it ditched like Clipper. If there is anything we can do to let MS see that we are serious about our chosen language, then we must do it! VIVA VFP!
