tons of folks are both insecure and underinformed. they will tread on anything they percieve as a weakness on your part to add a bit of bouyancy to their own ego's. i have found, when asked what tools i use, that it satisfies most curiosity to say 'MS Visual Studio'. i only do database development and i use the database tool from VS which is VFP, so i am not lying to them, and if they ask what do i use from VS i tell them 'VFP, which is the VS database system'. it seems to satisfy most folks.
