>I've got an application written in VFP 3.0 that has been running since 1996 and recently (withing the last 3 - 4 months) I have noticed that there are entire records that are populated with the NULL [ASC(0)] character. It appears to be overwriting the data that was originally in the record.

I have had some serious problems with Novell 4. VFP does not play well with Novell for some reason. Make sure you have the latest version of client32, and all the Novell Server settings are properly set for VFP. There is an technical document for doing this on the Novell web site.
