To expand a bit on what Mike said...

COM+ has several enhancements that, unfortunately, we can't use right now, but will be able to with VFP7. For example, SetComplete() will terminate the transaction and release the instance of the COM component to be used by someone else. Under COM+ you can commit without releasing. There are other cool things in COM+ like Loosely Coupled Events, Queued Components, and Compensating Resource Managers that we'll be able to use in VFP7.
