Using:
select membernum,firstname,lastname from member for xml auto,elements
with SQL Server 2000, I get a vfp cursor of n records which upon appending into one string I get malformed xml that won't display in ie because some parts of some tags have been truncated in each record. I can see the improper truncation in browse.

Some others are not having this problem.

Does anyone know why this happens, and if any adjustment can be made to correct this?
