Paul,

Thanks for sending me the drivers. As you know, I was able to install them, connect, and retrieve data including column names, and of the correct data type.

Last night I succeeded in running a complicated query which took an hour, but I had been trying all day with no success at all, killing it after 4 or 5 hours of no response each time.

You're right, the 2.10.13.00 drivers are fast!

I'm happy. But Oracle still needs to correct the problems with the 3.x drivers.

I also found the new driver was much slower that the 2.10.13.00 driver. I'm going to have another look at this tomorrow. If you can get the version I'm using to work, consider using it on the speed issue alone.
