My wife is from Peru and we have many friends from Peru as well as Colombia. It seems a never-ending argument is in which country is the best Castillian spoken, Peru or Columbia? These arguments are never heated but are enjoyable to listen to. Then along comes a Spaniard from Castile and ruins the fun!

When someone asks my wife: ¿“Habla usted Español”? My wife will reply: ¡“No”! ¡Yo hablo Castilliano”! That also provides an enjoyable time.
