Menus & Menu designer
I have a form which shows a list down one side, and layers another "Always on Top" form on the right side when the user chooses to edit an item in the list on the main form.
When the user right clicks on the list on the bottom form, the short cut menu I generate does not appear as "On Top", but rather partially behind the "Always on Top" form.(which is to the right). I do not wish to send the edit form to the back by setting it's always on top to .f. during the edit.
In the VFP7 beta, this does not occur. Apparently, shortcut menus default to always on top, no matter what other forms may have that attribute. Too bad, many other things that work fine in Vfp6, are busted in the beta.
Are there any tricks that will give the same behavior to the popup shortcut menu. That is, make it always on top. I tried defining my popup menu in screen, or in a specific predefined little window that is on top, but not a solution. Very clumsy and what about flyouts and all that. Soooo...
Any help much appreciated...
Thanks,
