We found it... :-)

FYI: We noticed that just by editing that fields backcolor, disabledbackcolor and/or colorsource (even if you do not actualy change anything), the form will behave differently on different machines with different VGA cards. Their are 2 way of correcting this:
1) in the init, problem is we have hundreds of fields so as an interum measure this would not be suitable.
2) on each field, within the properties screen, right-click on backcolor and reset to default, do the same for disabledbackcolor and color resource.
