A strange behavior may be observed when an index tag has collating sequence other than "machine" and foxpro.int can't be found. The order of records looks rather funny then - it all seems to work, you just can't guess if it will find the record or not, and what will the record be. Just about the same misbehavior can be observed when non-machine collating sequence is used on a numeric or date index (not to mention the new data types). Didn't try it in VFP, true, but I don't expect it to be changed in any way.
