As a Delphi developer for over three years now, I would have to recommend that you take a look at Borland's new Kylix for Linux, which is basically a cross platform version of Delphi. Pascal is the language at the heart of the IDE. Also, the OOP implementation in Borland's product is even better than VFP's. Tables and reports are also objects for example.

I apologize if someone else has already suggested this new product. I am interested in these new developments in cross platform IDE's, too. Java's just not for me.

Good luck!

By other hand don't know if is powerful like VFP in aspects like Forms Generator, Report Generator, Database, Object Orientation, etc. Someone is working with Omnis? What can say me about the product?
